An interactive drum circle using hand drums and shakers. Tammy and Mika will guide participants through singing and drumming traditional songs that are sung mostly with vocables which are very easy to repeat. Teachings and meaning behind each song will be discussed. Also, Medicine Wheel teachings will be offered along with an introduction of the 4 Sacred medicines.
Tammy is Metis (French and Indigenous) as well as Irish, Scottish, English. She is a drum carrier and bead artist who enjoys sharing her love of singing and drumming with the Community.
Mika is from Six Nations of the Grand River. She is a drum carrier, bead artist and dreamcatcher creator. She has recently been accepted into the ECE program in Niagara and will begin her studies in September.
