Fringe All-Access 2023

Apply for this year’s Fringe All-Access Series!

In the summer of 2021, Hamilton Fringe Festival launched a new initiative called ‘Fringe All-Access.’ We think this curated performance series is crucial to spotlight new and exciting artists, while creating a more equitable, inclusive and accessible arts scene for our community.

‘Fringe All-Access’ represents the evolution of our history of providing creatively engaging, accessible programming at the Fringe. This series actively encourages submissions of both theatre and theatre-adjacent work (ex: dance, storytelling, song cycles, etc). Since it is a long way away, we are okay with conceptual art and works-in-progress that will be finished in time for the festival! Your piece should be suitable for an outdoor stage and feature relatively limited technical requirements. All performances will be presented on the Fringe Club stage at John Rebecca Park.

Applications for this year’s Fringe All-Access Series are now CLOSED. Check back soon for information about applying to the 2023 series.

We are opening this Call For Proposals from artists for a paid opportunity of CAD $1250.00 to provide live, in-person performance content for Hamiltonians.

We are looking to support brilliant creatives and community-impacting ideas! The series has been designed to offer greater universal accessibility, with all performances being provided to attendees free of charge, and aims to welcome communities that are often underrepresented as live-arts spectators and performers.

The Fringe All-Access series will be curated by the Hamilton Fringe Community Curators Circle. The CCC is committed to supporting and creating space for making connections, and it welcomes and encourages the community to reclaim spaces and share their stories. Their purpose is to connect with artists across the nation and have lifelong connections through art. As their mandate states, “The CCC is long lasting and infinite–even if you work with them once in your life, you will always be connected.”
